vcita is a leading software platform tailored for small businesses, providing essential tools for managing operations and enhancing client engagement. As we expand our partnerships, we’re looking for a proactive, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Growth team. 

Role Overview: 

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) efforts and drive growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams, engage with key stakeholders, and ensure a steady pipeline of strategic partnership prospects. If you’re passionate about research, networking, and connecting with companies across industries, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on potential leads using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot, and third-party platforms such as Zoominfo and AI tools.
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that align with vcita’s growth objectives.
  • Qualify MQLs, lead initial prospect conversations and work closely with Sr. Director of Partnerships to convert SQLs. 
  • Execute outbound reach to prospects, setting up and leading meetings in which you will need to qualify as potential partners. 
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and updates in our CRM.
  • Gather and share insights from lead interactions with marketing to refine targeting strategies. 
  • Be proactive and creative, and initiate ideas for targeting and outreach
  • Represent vcita professionally, effectively communicating our value proposition.
  • Participate as the company’s representative in relevant conferences and events in the U.S.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, SaaS sales, or a related role, with proven success in cold calling and lead generation, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative - thrive in a collaborative environment and working well with several internal stakeholders. 
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Knowledge of the SaaS industry and the small business market is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Self-motivated, and proactive, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • This role requires occasional travel (up to 10%) for conferences and team meetings.
